Temecula Valley Traditional Placenta Encapsulation

Honoring The Organ That Sustained Life

Your placenta grew with your baby.
It nourished, oxygenated, filtered, protected, and sustained life for months.

And after birth… it still has something to offer.

Placenta encapsulation is a time-honored practice in many cultures, and while it’s become more widely known in recent years, it’s not a trend. It’s a way of honoring the organ that supported your pregnancy and allowing it to continue supporting you in the postpartum season.

Investment: $200

  • Many mothers report benefits such as:

    • Supporting postpartum recovery

    • Increased energy levels

    • More stable mood

    • Reduced “baby blues”

    • Support for milk production

    • Gentle hormonal balancing

    • Improved iron levels

    • Shorter duration of postpartum bleeding

While research is still evolving, the lived experiences of thousands of mothers speak to the restorative potential of this practice.

    This is not about magic.
    It’s about nourishment.

Your placenta contains hormones, iron, and nutrients that your body created specifically for this pregnancy. Returning it to your body in capsule form can feel deeply supportive during the vulnerable postpartum window.

  • Your placenta is handled with reverence, professionalism, and strict safety protocols.

    I offer two preparation methods:

    ✨ Traditional (Steamed & Dehydrated)

    • Placenta is gently rinsed and prepared

    • Lightly steamed with warming herbs (if desired)

    • Thinly sliced and fully dehydrated

    • Ground into powder

    • Placed into vegetarian capsules

This method is often chosen for its grounding and warming qualities.

    ✨ Raw (Dehydrated Only)

    • Placenta is rinsed and prepared in the same traditional process. All excess blood is carefully removed.

    • Thinly sliced and fully dehydrated without steaming

    • Ground into powder

    • Encapsulated

This method preserves more of the raw hormone content and is often preferred by mothers seeking maximum hormonal and nutritional support.

  • I incorporate traditional herbs that have been long revered for their gentle postpartum support. These herbs are incorporated during the steaming and dehydration process for additional support and are ground into a powder along with your placenta. These may include:

    • Ginger (warming & circulation)

    • Lemon (cleansing)

    • Rose (heart support)

We will discuss your preferences and goals before preparation.

  • With every order, a complimentary hand-crafted placenta print and umbilical cord is gifted for every mother.

2 Placenta prints are included with your order. One print is a natural blood print, while the second print is crafted using safe-to-consume, dye free, food coloring prior to the encapsulation process.

The umbilical cord is removed from the placenta, often shaped as a heart, and dehydrated. Some are painted, while some are left in their natural glory!

  • 30c Homeopathic Placenta Remedy — $45

In addition to encapsulation, you may choose to have a homeopathic placenta tincture prepared from your placenta.

This is a deeply intentional and energetically unique offering.

    What Is a Placenta Homeopathic?

Homeopathy works through energetic imprint rather than biochemical dose. A homeopathic placenta remedy carries the energetic signature of your placenta — something that is completely unique to you and your baby.

Unlike capsules (which work nutritionally and hormonally), a homeopathic remedy works on a more subtle level — often described as supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of healing.

According to traditional homeopathic preparation methods homeopathic_placenta (1), the process involves:

    1. Creating a tincture from a small piece of the placenta preserved in strong alcohol (traditionally at a 1:9 ratio).

    2. Allowing the tincture to sit for at least three days.

    3. Serial dilution and succussion (rhythmic shaking or striking) to create a potency such as 6c, 30c, or higher.

Succussion is a key step in homeopathy — it is believed to release the energetic properties of the substance into the remedy.

Potential Benefits of a Placenta Remedy

Traditionally, a placenta homeopathic remedy may be used:

    • As a constitutional support for baby when run down or needing strengthening

    • During illness recovery

    • For emotional transitions

    • During growth spurts or developmental leaps

    • As long-term energetic support

    • For the mother during periods of depletion or hormonal shifts

30c potency is commonly used in homeopathy and is said to work on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

This remedy becomes a lifelong resource for your family.

Many mothers choose this option because it creates a form of support that can be accessed years after the postpartum season has passed.

*This add-on is available only when booked alongside encapsulation.

  • Placenta Tincture — $30

In addition to capsules and homeopathic preparation, you may choose to have a placenta tincture made from your placenta.

This is different from a homeopathic remedy.

A tincture contains the physical properties of the placenta preserved in alcohol. A homeopathic remedy, on the other hand, is highly diluted and works on an energetic principle rather than a biochemical one.

Both have value — they simply work in different ways.

A placenta tincture is created by:

    • Selecting a small portion of your placenta

    • Preserving it in strong alcohol (typically brandy or vodka) at approximately a 1:9 ratio

    • Allowing it to infuse over time

The alcohol extracts and preserves the physical constituents of the placenta.

Unlike encapsulation (which is used primarily in the immediate postpartum window), a tincture can last indefinitely when stored properly.

Many mothers appreciate having a tincture on hand for:

    • Hormonal shifts years after birth

    • The return of menstruation

    • Perimenopause transitions

    • Emotional processing related to birth

    • Times of depletion or burnout

    • Anniversary reactions around baby’s birth

Because it is preserved in alcohol, the tincture remains shelf-stable and can be used in very small doses when needed.

*This add-on is available only when booked alongside encapsulation.
